Referral Scheme

There is a referral scheme in place to reward you for any new customers you bring our way.

Basics

The reward takes the form of either a service credit or a larger one-off donation to Debian. You will be contacted when the reward is earned so that you can specify which you would prefer.

Service credits

Service credits are awarded whenever customers you refer settle their invoices, as a percentage of the invoice total (excluding VAT). We are currently paying 8% of the settled invoice amount as service credit, rounded down to the nearest penny.

If you manage to reduce your payments to zero then any further credits can be used to upgrade your service, or made as donations as below.

Donations

If you wish, instead of a service credit, a one-off donation will be made to either Debian UK or Software in the Public Interest, Inc. on your behalf. We will choose which organisation gets the donation.

We are currently paying 30% of the invoice total as a one-off donation.

Eligibility

You will be eligible for the reward if, prior to account setup, a new customer states that you have referred them (get them to give your VPS name).

Service credits will be rewarded at the time a referred customer settles an invoice (including initial account setup), and you will be notified of this by email.

Customers who already have free accounts may use service credits to upgrade their service, or as donations.
