Pricing update overview | Full price list | Frequently asked questions

Customers on the smallest plan will see a price rise, though most of the larger configurations will become cheaper.
In three years of trading we have never before raised our prices, despite several increases in supply costs. In May 2010 cost of colocation power was increased by ~17%, and unfortunately we can no longer absorb this.
We will attempt to migrate all existing customers to the cheapest VPS configuration that matches or exceeds their current service's RAM, disk and data transfer allowance, before your next renewal date.
The new basic plan includes an extra 2½GiB of disk space, and some servers may not have enough spare disk to allow all customers to grow their disk space. Similarly the current 300MiB plan will no longer exist and many customers will want to move to 360MiB instead; it is possible there won't be enough spare memory for this. In these cases we will make you an individual pricing offer until such time as capacity is available.
If you wish to change your VPS's configuration please contact support as soon as possible – right now if you wish – as there is likely to be a high demand.
Hopefully for almost everyone this can be handled by simply growing your disk space by 2½GiB and leaving you to shut down / boot to gain access to the extra space at a time that suits you. Where possible this will be done between 18th July 2010 and your following renewal date.
As mentioned above though, there may be some customers who cannot be accommodated on their current server. These customers will be contacted individually to arrange a move to another server, or failing that an individual pricing offer.
The new price list is quite simple, but the configurator may help also. Just plug in enough RAM, disk and data transfer to cover or exceed your current plan.
Remember, if you want to change your configuration, please contact support as soon as possible.
Yes. If you are willing to switch to yearly payments and pay for a year of service at your current plan's price, before July 18th 2010, then we will be happy to extend your renewal date out by 360 days.
This payment will not involve VAT, as we are not VAT registered until 18th July 2010.
Due to administrative burden we won't be accepting any further pre-payments before 18th July 2010 unless you switch to the yearly billing schedule.
We are trying to both adjust the prices of the larger plans to be more competitive, and also to encourage customers to switch to yearly billing. We generally expect prices to go up over time and we offer a discounted yearly billing schedule so you can fix your costs.
If you're currently on a yearly billing schedule and wish to change to one of the newer, cheaper configurations then we will be happy to refund you the pro-rata difference as service credit. Please contact support as soon as possible.
The pricing updates fit into three categories:
Repeated increases in supply costs cover the first point. There has always been a significant demand for custom VPS plans and the previous pricing structure wasn't at all useful for this. VAT registration would be legally required in 2011 in any case.
We're doing all of the changes at once so that we hopefully don't have to change pricing three times between now and this time next year.
If you're not resident in the EU economic area then UK VAT will not apply.
If you're in the EU economic area but outside the UK, and you're registered for VAT, UK VAT will not apply. You'll need to account for the VAT under the reverse charge scheme. Please contact support with your VAT registration number as soon as possible, to avoid being issued invoices that show UK VAT.
In all other cases, invoices will show UK VAT at the standard rate.
As the service is enjoyed in the UK, UK VAT will apply. If you are exempt from paying all VAT and are based in the EU economic area, please contact support with the details.
